Fri 25-Feb-05 13:47 Rally America has arrived in Ellington, MO, where the Tresspassers Wil rally will begin at 3 PM CST. The Parc Expose is currently underway. Stay tuned for more details.

Fri 25-Feb-05 14:50 Car 567, Cutler / Atsma, dropped off a pre-event update.

"The MBD Motorsports Hankook RX-7 got its first miles in the drive from Salem to Ellington. The new car will be fun to drive on this beautiful day. Thanks Greg for the great job."

Fri 25-Feb-05 15:05 Car 555, McCleery / McCleery, also dropped off an update.

"We'd like to say hello to our family around the world who can join our fun thanks to Rally America and their live updates: Brian and Sara in Oxford, England and David, Linda, Jonathon, and Jacob in Shell, Ecuador!"

The McCleery's 1989 Ford Sierra is sponsored by Cobalt Blue, Aya Racing, and Uncle Ken's Trailer Sales.
Fri 25-Feb-05 15:27 The cars have started from the Parc Expose in Ellington. They will have a .81 mile transit to Special Stage 1, a 1.31 mile fast and wide stage with two chicanes made from hay bales (the large circular ones that you see in the farm fields). The teams will run Special Stage 2, Special Stage 3, Special Stage 4 and Special Stage 5 before returning to Ellington for an hour and a half service break.
Fri 25-Feb-05 17:37 The cars are starting to come into service. Right now, the top 5 stage times for the Trespassers Wil rally are as follows:
Car 508, Ottey / McGarvey 22:02.7
Car 592, Pritchard / Westrick 22:35.6
Car 96, Scott / Hackett 22:48.0
Car 591, Cizmas / Greek 23:03.1
Car 612, Biewald / Weidman 23:37.9
Fri 25-Feb-05 17:44 Car 508, Ottey / McGarvey had a flat on Special Stage 4 that they ran throughout the stage and changed on the transit. The team does not feel that they lost very much time as a result of the flat, but they are experiencing an engine misfire and need to diagnose the problem. Right now, they are being listed as leading the rally.
Fri 25-Feb-05 17:48 Car 625, Wray / Nordlie is having a great rally. It is the first rally on notes for the driver, only the second time for the codriver, and it is the first rally that they have been together as a team. Both team members are smiling and they state that they are having fun and learning a lot on the stages.

Fri 25-Feb-05 17:53 Car 821, Wall / Fischer has filled out a Rally America update form (available for download on this site). They stated:

(Bob) "tight, twisty, big rocks".
(Carl) "feels sorry for the "weak-stomached" people out there"

"The transmission sounds a bit sketchy, so Bob is going to baby it a bit."

Both of the guys want to say hi and thanks to their wives (Lisa and Emmie). Bob would also like to say hi to his daughters, Olivia and Katie.

Fri 25-Feb-05 18:04 Car 591, Cizmas / Greek sustained damage to both doors on the stage with the chicane set up. They hit the drivers door on the running of Special Stage 1 and the co-drivers door on the running of Special Stage 5. Dave tells us that the brakes are a little "squirley", but he doesn't think there is much that can be done about it. The hay on the jack stand was caught on the right side mirror when they returned to service.

Fri 25-Feb-05 18:07 Car 86, Halley / Warner got a RF flat tire on Special Stage 2, but were unable to change it after Special Stage 2 due to time constraints. The team then ran Special Stage 3 on the flat and were able to change it on the transit after the stage. Despite the amount of time they ran on the flat, the car does not look any worse for the wear (well...all except for the tire anyway). They are having a great time and Tina is having fun learning our note system in the US (she usually runs them in the Canadian series). Tina would like to say hi to Dave, who is over in England right now.
Fri 25-Feb-05 18:10 Some pictures from the service area.
Fri 25-Feb-05 18:18 Car 535, Himes / Himes had quite a bit of trouble on the first leg of the rally. They hit a bale on Special Stage 1, which was "nothing, that was just vegetable" On Special Stage 3 they ran into some "mineral, which was the real trouble". The mineral Jake was referring to were the rocks that caused two flats on the stage. They drove out of the stage on one front and one rear flat. With the help of Car 612, Biewald / Weidman, they changed the front flat and continued through Special Stage 4 and Special Stage 5 and into service still dealing with the right rear flat tire. The team lost a lot of time on the stages but the transits really took a lot out of them. Jake told us "the transits were like rolling down a hill in a big metal garbage can". They may be essentially out of the CRNC but they plan on working together and seeing what they can do.
Fri 25-Feb-05 18:21 Car 636, Rhodes / Rounds are having a good time and getting back into it. They did catch a car on Special Stage 2, but they were able to make a safe pass and not lose too much time. Kala told us that Special Stage 4 rocked, that stage made th entire trip worth it!
Fri 25-Feb-05 18:36 Car 592, Pritchard / Westrick tell us that the roads here are a blast! Justin would be very happy if all the roads at rallies were like the ones here, very tight and technical. On Special Stage 4 they got some water in the distributor, it dried by Special Stage 5 and the car ran fine. The crew for car 592 contains some notable folks. Jeremy Ghoennes who is the Technical Director for SCCA Road Racing is here as crew, and SCCA Inc.'s PR Manager Curtis Kitchen is here getting his rally fix as crew for the team.
Fri 25-Feb-05 18:38 Car 611, Jenkins / Schwantner had some welding done at Walker Welding Equipment on Main St. in Ellington.
Fri 25-Feb-05 18:40 The cars are now on their way out of service and Rally America is packing up to move to the next location. The van will be going to the Holiday Inn in Salem for the finish of the rally. We will not be posting for about 1 and 1/2 hours. Please check back then.
Fri 25-Feb-05 20:50 Car 555, McCleery / McCleery felt the stages were faster than expected, and they are having a good time. The only issue they had was when they lost their computer at .48 into Special Stage 4, but according to them, "like any good help desk, they were able to reboot themselves and go on". Colin and Nancy would like to say hello to their grandchildren, Sarah and Amanda.
Fri 25-Feb-05 21:14 We have made it to the final MTC of the night back in Salem at the Holiday Inn Express The cars have started to arrive and we are getting scores updated.

It has been reported that the following cars are off on the stages:

Car 548, Bushore / Bushore, off on Special Stage 6
Car 413, Schmidt / Rose - off on Special Stage 6
Car 612, Biewald / Weidman - off on Special Stage 6
Car 592, Pritchard / Westrick - off on Special Stage 7, broken strut

All the teams are OK. We will do our best to find out the details as the teams continue to arrive.
Fri 25-Feb-05 21:21 We ran into the team of Car 567, Cutler / Atsma at the short service in Butler and they gave us an update on their off on Special Stage 2.

"Four miles into Special Stage 2 we hit a stump on the drivers rear. A bent axle housing and control arm make this the end of the event for us. Big thanks to Crew Chief Dave Vanderschaaf and to Lester Wisdom for getting us out."
Fri 25-Feb-05 21:28 Car 611, Jenkins / Schwantner is having fun and happy that the car in still in one piece. They state the rally could not be any better!!! The stage notes are wonderful and flawless. Doug would like to thank Brian's wife, Kim, for turning Brian loose this weekend.
Fri 25-Feb-05 21:33 Car 821, Wall / Fischer, who were leading the rally at the first service, had some small problems on the last stages that cost them some time. Their notes felt a bit rough after the meal break and the HID lights were flickering, so they chose to keep it slow and safe. By Special Stage 9 they were finally able to find a rhythm. They are looking forward to a good day tomorrow.
Fri 25-Feb-05 21:36 Car 449, Malsom / Malsom finds the stages to be very rough, mostly due to the stock suspension they are running. Despite that, they are having a very fun rally. Mark says that he was feeling very Petter Solberg like (except without the hood explosion) when he crossed the "amazing" water crossing. Both Mark and Sarah would like to thank their parents (who came all the way from Iowa), Steve and Grant (their crew), their sponsors, Rupert Barrington (Action Photo) and ChampagneMotors.com, as well as Rally America, for all of their respective support.
Fri 25-Feb-05 21:43 Car 26, Kendall / Friberg is being listed as a DNF. We saw them in service and they stated they had been having troubles with power since about 1/2 mile into stage one. Initially, they were having problems with getting the car to rev over 4500 RPM's. Finally, on Special Stage 3 the car "shut itself off". While the team has had problems previously with a myriad of parts, they have never experienced what they believe to be an electrical problem. Due to the fact that it is generally hard to isolate an issue such as this, the team states that it is unlikely that they will be ready to run in tomorrow's event.
Fri 25-Feb-05 21:44 Car 636, Rhodes / Rounds, dropped off a final update of the night for stages 6, 7, 8 and 9.

"A low water bridge on Special Stage 6 almost rolled the fast red RX-7. We launched into it, flew throught the air, and landed hard. Luckily, the tough Rhodes-built rotary is still in one piece, minus some fan blades and skid plate mounts. The rest of the day went smoothly. Minor repairs tonight promise a speedy, success-filled final day of CRNC action tomorrow."
Fri 25-Feb-05 21:54 Car 591, Cizmas / Greek filled out a Rally america update form.

"Hey, Pete. Thanks for the struts, they are working good...Hay bales are harder than they look...Hey, Captain SteveO, it looks like NY out here".
Fri 25-Feb-05 22:08 After an off and an encounter with a tree on Special Stage 2, Car 16, Pudelek / Markut retired for the night at the service break. The team has replaced a badly bent control arm and has damage to the right front fender. They would like to contiue tomorrow once given the approval by the tech inspectors.
Fri 25-Feb-05 22:13 Car 676, McElduff / Irwin lost the fuel pump on the transit from Special Stage 9 to the final MTC. The crew will be making the repair and the team will be ready to run 100 Acre Wood tomorrow.

Nick (crew for the team) would like to say hi to Parker who is watching from home!
Fri 25-Feb-05 22:32 All of the cars are in and the scores for the Club Rally National Championship and for Trespassers Wil have been updated.

We will be live at Parc Expose at 9:00 tomorrow. The first car will be startring 100 Acre Wood and begining the second half of the CRNC at 10:01am.
Sat 26-Feb-05 09:51 The cars have arrived at Parc Expose and are waiting to take the start. Miss Dent County and Miss Salem are on hand to start the cars at 10:01 am. We have 26 cars starting todays event, all but Car 413, Schmidt / Rose, were able to make it this morning. Hopefully we will be able to catch up with Eric Schmidt later and find out what happened last night.

Sat 26-Feb-05 09:55 Car 26, Kendall / Friberg were able to fix the electrical problems that they were having yesterday. They found out that they broke a wire to a module that controls spark. They tried to run on two cylinders but decided to retire. They are trying to save some face today.
Sat 26-Feb-05 09:56 We were unable to get a signal in Salem. We will be in transit to Viburnum where we will up and running for the service.
Sat 26-Feb-05 11:03 Another DNF from last evening is Car 548, Bushore / Bushore. On Special Stage 6 last night, the team hit a jump and broke a tie rod. They were able to fix it out on stage (not before being time-barred). The car is looking good and the team will be starting again today.
Sat 26-Feb-05 11:09 Car 86, Halley / Warner had an interesting Special Stage 6 last night. They hit a jump pretty hard on Special Stage 6 and caused a spark show! The car appears no worse for the wear except for an "alien" light...apparently, they had a light that loosened as a result of the jump and the way it was throwing light caused the team to wonder whether aliens were among them. Again, we would like to say hi and thanks to Dave (who is apparently monitoring www.rally-america from England).
Sat 26-Feb-05 11:24 Car 16, Pudelek / Markut made the necessary repairs last night and are set to go today.

Before...

After...

It may not be pretty, but they say they are ready to go.
Sat 26-Feb-05 11:24 Car 96, Scott / Hackett is having a good time. It is their goal to chip away at the one minute lead that Car 591, Cizmas / Greek has on them. They attribute some of that one minute lead to their gearbox setup (gearing, etc.), which they believe to be more suited to today's faster stages than yesterday's stages. They are expecting a good battle to shape up today.
Sat 26-Feb-05 11:39 Car 612, Biewald / Weidman arrived late to Parc Expose after spending most of the night working on the car. The team went out last night after they launched off the entrance of a low water bridge and landed on their nose. They bent the skid plate, damaged the oil pan, and "pushed everything in the engine compartment back about two inches." The team was penalized for their late arrival to the Parc Expose. The team told us that they never expected to have the car fixed and able to run today. The penalty isn't a big deal, they are just happy to be running.
The crew finished the repairs in downtown Salem.
Sat 26-Feb-05 11:40 After a slight delay, the first car has just started Special Stage 11.
Sat 26-Feb-05 11:48 Car 592, Pritchard / Westrick is also back running today. The team hit a large rock as they came over a crest on Special Stage 6. Despite a broken strut, bent rear beam, and a flat tire, they finished that stage and ran Special Stage 7, but slowly. They decided to retire after stage 7. They have made all the repairs and are excited to be running today. Justin would like to say hi to his wife Amy and his boys Luke and Will.
Sat 26-Feb-05 11:51 Here are some pictures from Parc Expose earlier this morning.

Sat 26-Feb-05 12:53 Car 821, Wall / Fischer are having a good time on the fast stages today, especially the last half of Special Stage 11 that was just jump after jump. They did blow a hairpin, of course in front of all the spectators. The team tells us the conditions are "sweet" and Carl is egging Bob to go faster (especially over the jumps). Bob says "Daddy is having fun."
Sat 26-Feb-05 12:55 Car 676, McElduff / Irwin is having a very good day and the stages are great. The team is trying to overcome a 36 second time penalty that they received this morning (after checking in late to Parc Expose). They had a few moments caused by late braking, but no damage was caused. The team lost a fuel pump last night, but were able to get one from Mark Utecht and continue on today. They would like to thank Mark for the pump. They would also like to thank their crew, Whiskers and Nick, for all their help.

Sat 26-Feb-05 12:59 Car 508, Ottey / McGarvey is still dealing with an enging misfire that they still have be unsuccessful in diagnosing; the engine is continuing to cut out and now, they have an oil leak. Despite the fact that Pam states the car is in need of an exorcism (apparently to get rid of these demons), their goal for the day is to hold onto 2nd place.
Sat 26-Feb-05 12:59 Car 26, Kendall / Friberg are having so much fun, Special Stage 11 was great! They were catching Car 591, Cizmas / Greek on Special Stage 10, but backed off since they are running for fun and Cizmas and Greek are still in it for the CRNC. At the next control the two cars checked in on the same minute and swapped start positions to avoid any further issues. The car is running well today and the roads are excellent.
Sat 26-Feb-05 13:05 Car 535, Himes / Himes are unfortunately done for the day. The number two cylinder is shot and there are metal pieces floating around. Silas did say he was happy that Jake finally scared him again, he was getting a little bored. Jake has promised, now that he has some spare time, to give us an update on Group F...look for that a little later.
Sat 26-Feb-05 13:06 The cars are now leaving service and the Rally America truck is preparing to move to the next location, in Potosi, so we will not be updating the website for the next hour. Please check back then, because we still have plenty of entries to make!!
Sat 26-Feb-05 15:27 We are now set up at the Dickey Bubb Farm and Home Store in Potosi, MO. The cars are now coming into service.
Sat 26-Feb-05 15:32 Car 636, Rhodes / Rounds details the roads as "so awesome". The car is completely "hooked up" for everything on today's stages, and they went over 110, which Kala says is the fastest she has ever been on stage. Kala said that Cable is driving very well. They had a perfect leg and hope that the times will reflect that. The team is hoping to overcome a one minute time penalty from earlier in the rally; it is their goal to be the G5 champions.
Sat 26-Feb-05 15:39 Car 96, Scott / Hackett said that the stages today are fast...really fast!! There are a lot of jumps and the car is really good. Right now, Brian thinks that Car 591, Cizmas / Greek is up about 50 seconds on him, and the teams goal is to try and make up that time; despite the 50 second deficit, Brian is not going to push it unnecessarily, but is going to let the rally come to him. Brian would like to say hi to his wife, Linda, and to Andy Brown (Techsport).

Sat 26-Feb-05 15:42 Car 609, Justus / Caringer has lost first gear and the clutch is not holding up too well. They are doing their best to baby it and hope to make it to the finish.
Sat 26-Feb-05 15:49 Car 449, Malsom / Malsom has a little error on a double caution on Special Stage 11, they ended up sideways over a bridge but caused no damage. They team did do a little damage to the rocker panel when they hit a berm on a hairpin when the driver didn't hear if it was a left or a right hand corner. Overall, they are enjoying the really fast roads.
Sat 26-Feb-05 16:04 Car 725, Carapetyan / Telford told us that "so far, so good" at the first service. They were having odo trouble from a hard hit to the wheel sensor but have since fixed that problem. They are now dealing with a bad vibration in the left front at speeds over 55 mph. They were able to take a look at it in service in Potosi and look forward to more beautiful, fun, fast stages.
Sat 26-Feb-05 16:09 We are packing up and heading off to the finish of the rally back at the Salem Eagles Club. Thanks to the Dickey Bub in Potosi for the use of their parking lot as a service location!

We will be off the air for the next two hours or so, while in route to Salem.
Sat 26-Feb-05 16:25 Here are some pictures of the Super Special that was run as Special Stage 15 and Special Stage 16.

Sat 26-Feb-05 16:31 Due to a low water bridge on Special Stage 6 last night that flattened the skid plate and pushed the oil pan into the crank, Car 612, Biewald / Weidman feels they are racing on borrowed time. Right after the low water bridge, the team pulled over because they were afraid that they might have spun a bearing and did not want to do further damage by continuing to run it. Upon further inspection, however, it was the baffle that was rubbing, and the team removed it last evening. They would like to thank Shawn of Ernst Sport Tuning, who is doing service for them this weekend, www.bestvwparts.com, their sponsor, as well as Ryan Johnson who provided the Peltor Intercom this weekend. This is the first time the team has ever run with an intercom, and they are very excited to have one.
Sat 26-Feb-05 16:38 Car 611, Jenkins / Schwantner states that Special Stage 11 was their favorite stage road ever! Doug finds it interesting that as he was going inches from the homeowners (along the stage road) mailboxes, they would smile and wave from their porches. He was adamant that we make sure to thank these landowners for the use of the land and roads. He would also like to thank the workers for all their time and effort, and the organizers and Rally America for putting on a great event.
Sat 26-Feb-05 16:38 Car 591, Cizmas / Greek were going good and things were pretty smooth earlier in the day. They are working on keeping a steady pace and trying to keep Car 96, Scott / Hackett behind them. They don't want to push or hold back, just cruise. On Special Stage 11 they had one close call when they came pretty close to hitting a post. The throttle cable came loose, and a clip broke while trying to make a temporary fix before Special Stage 14, they ran the stage with the throttle stuck at half. The team said it was a little frustrating to be running on such fast great roads and not be able to use all that you've got. Dave was able to fix the throttle before the start of Special Stage 15 and will then have time to make a permanent fix at the service that follows.
Sat 26-Feb-05 16:46 Car 625, Wray / Nordlie describes the stages as GGGGGRRRRREEEEEAAAAATTTTT. The team is having a blast; they feel that they are having fun flying through the stages, and hope the times show that. This is one of their favorite rallies so far! Currently, they are keeping an eye on Car 449, Malsom / Malsom, who they believe to be in 3rd position in PGT, they state that a podium finsih would be nice; in the 100 AW rally, Car 449, Malsom / Malsom lis listed in the 3rd position in PGT, and leads Car 625, Wray / Nordlie by about 35 seconds
Sat 26-Feb-05 16:51 Car 86, Halley / Warner's only request at the first service was for more power and less uphill starts, they didn't even want fuel or the windows washed. They are having a good time battling with Car 555, McCleery / McCleery for the last podium position in Group 5. The team did have some issues that they needed to fix at the last service, and it appears that they win for the most creative use of a chain.

We hear that he broke the top of the strut tower.
Sat 26-Feb-05 16:53 Among the top three teams in the 100 AW rally, there are only 9 seconds total separating all three. Currently, the teams and times are as follows:

Car 676, McElduff / Irwin 35:53.5
Car 821, Wall / Fischer 35:59.6
Car 26, Kendall / Friberg 36:02.9

It is shaping up to be a very interesting battle for the win. Car 676, McElduff / Irwin and Car 821, Wall / Fischer had little to say about the battle, and both stated only that the roads were very, very good. Car 26, Kendall / Friberg merely stated that they are trying to whittle away at the two teams in front of them.
Sat 26-Feb-05 16:57 Everyting is "excellent" for Car 593, Pin / Butler. They've had some hard hits out there with all the jumps and are only battling themselves this rally. The team would like to thank the organizers for a well run, fun event.
Sat 26-Feb-05 16:59 Car 555, McCleery / McCleery wanted to be sure that Brian (watching from home) knew that he beat the Vette (#611) on Special Stage 11 (by one second)..."See Brian, we can do it!!!" The team is having fun, they have not had any moments....well, except for a couple of overshot junctions due to a malfunctioning computer. Despite that, the team is smiling, enjoying themselves, and just hoping to beat Mad Mike!!!
Sat 26-Feb-05 17:06 Car 93, Olson / Schueller, who is currently in 3rd place in the CRNC (behind Car 821, Wall / Fischer and Car 591, Cizmas / Greek), and in 7th in the 100 AW rally (about 1 minute out of the lead), stated they were having a great time on this fast rally. They are glad to be here. It is Mike's 1st rally as co-driver, he is filling in for Conrad (who had to work this weekend). Bob states that Mike is doing pretty good overall and great today. They both would like to say hi to Conrad and to say thanks to Rally America for the great job that we do.
Sat 26-Feb-05 17:13 Even though they believe the tree they hit on Special Stage 9 last night only caused cosmetic damage, Car 446, Wollerman / Scott is only driving at about 80% today. The team did look over the car last night, and are certain everything is fine, but the fast stages today are causing them to take pause and exercise caution. Brian would like to say hi to his wife, Hallie, and to tell her that all is going great and he cannot wait to get home. Justin would like to say hi to his mom, and thanks to his dad, Brock, who is doing the service for them this weekend.
Sat 26-Feb-05 18:08 Car 418, Keeney / Moody says everything is going good. They have changed to Falken tires for today's rally and it seems they have made a big difference. Fast stages like the ones here today mean more dependence on the codriver, and this is the first time Brian has codriven (he usually drives). They are getting on well and have had no problems (except for having misprinted stage notes this morning). The team has filed a steward inquiry, but due to the fact that it is the competitors responsibility to ensure that their own notes are correct, it has been denied. Jimmy and Brian would like to thank Ray (who is watching from home) as well as the guys at Wreckmasters. Brian would like to say hi to Erika.
Sat 26-Feb-05 19:21 We are set up and ready to go at the Salem Eagles Club. The rally has had some delays due to some spectator issues. The last report we have estimates that we are about two hours behind schedule. We will have more updates once the cars begin to arrive here in Salem.
Sat 26-Feb-05 20:35 Morgan's pictures are now posted in the gallery.
Sat 26-Feb-05 20:47 The first car has just started Special Stage 10. The stage is 14.79 miles long, followed by a 23.91 mile transit to the Eagles Club. We expect to see cars here in about an hour. Unfortunately, we can't hear net control very well here in Salem so we have no further information until the cars make it in to the finish.
Sat 26-Feb-05 21:01 Net control reports that the first car has finished stage 10 at 2056. They have a 40 minute transit back to Salem, so they should arrive at the Eagles club about 2136.
Sat 26-Feb-05 21:07 The last car started stage 10 at 2104. We are getting close to finishing.
Sat 26-Feb-05 21:34 The first car has arrived at the finish of 100 Acre Wood and the 2004 CRNC. The CRNC participants will have a special champagne spray following the results.
Sat 26-Feb-05 21:59 Car 676, McElduff / Irwin is the first car in. The team was up by 4 seconds at the last service and now feel that they are up about 40 seconds, despite Special Stage 19. On Special Stage 19, the team took it a little cautious on the stage because the stage was loose and they were sweeping it for everyone else.
Sat 26-Feb-05 22:04 Car 821, Wall / Fischer was a bit bummed at their own performance on the last couple of stages. Due to the delay on Special Stage 18, the team had some troubles on Special Stage 18 and felt they lost some time there. Additionally, they stalled once, overshot a hairpin, and spun the car on Special Stage 19. The spin was a low speed spin, and there is no damage to the car. Apparently, Special Stage 19 was especially challenging due to the changing grip...the stages all day today were very grippy, whereas Special Stage 19 was generally a loose surface, with changing amounts of grip. It is yet to be determined where the team stands in the 100 AW rally, but the team is hopeful that they were able to hold onto the lead in the CRNC. Carl was very impressed with the fantastic driving that Bob did this weekend.
Sat 26-Feb-05 22:04 Car 600, McCarthy / Collins had an off that sent them pretty far off into the trees on Special Stage 18. They lost their right side light pod and did some damage to the right side front fender and door. They figure they lost about a minute on that stage and another minute on Special Stage 17 where they nosed the car in after a jump. Overall, they feel they did "Not too bad, we made it out in one piece."
Sat 26-Feb-05 22:07 Car 591, Cizmas / Greek loves Missouri!!! They had fun all day and a perfect Special Stage 19...it just clicked!! It was their goal to maintain the G2 lead and at this point, they are hopeful that they may get a podium finish.
Sat 26-Feb-05 22:12 Car 96, Scott / Hackett was not quite able to get the hat trick as the Group 5 Club National Champion. The difference was just too great to catch Car 591, Cizmas / Greek. Brian had to completely change his style of driving to match the new gearbox he put in the car on Sunday. Considering he left home Tuesday and never even drove the car until he got here, he was happy things went as well as they did.
Sat 26-Feb-05 22:18 Car 26, Kendall / Friberg, tell us that they had a blast today. They picked the right tires, everything on the car worked well, and they had a great drive.
Sat 26-Feb-05 22:20 Car 612, Biewald / Weidman is not in the top 10 due to a late entry into parc expose this morning; the reason they were late was their incident on Special Stage 6 last night (detailed earlier). Despite "racing on borrowed time", they thought the rally as "amazing". They were very excited about how fast the roads are, and even liked the low water bridges (one of which was the problem last evening).
Sat 26-Feb-05 22:24 Car 592, Pritchard / Westrick felt good about the rally, and were just happy that they finished. Perhaps because they finished today, they thought today's stages were better than yesterdays (despite the fact that Justin generally likes the rough and twisty stuff as opposed to the superfast long stuff). Even though the team was not in the running for the CRNC, they felt that they were running right up there with the G2 cars in the CRNC. Justin says "G2 rules".
Sat 26-Feb-05 22:25 The score have been made provisional at 10:23pm.
Sat 26-Feb-05 22:34 We have heard reports that Car 449, Malsom / Malsom, are off on Special Stage 18. Their crew is on the way with the trailer to get them and the team is OK.
Sat 26-Feb-05 23:03 The scores have been made final and we will be signing off from 100 Acre Wood and the 2004 CRNC here in Salem, MO. Thanks to all the organizers, workers, and competitors that have made this a great event for us.

We will see you at Oregon Trail.
