LAKE SUPERIOR RALLY |  lsprorally.com

The Lake Superior Rally takes place during peak foliage season in Northern Michigan, which means that this rally is always one of the most unforgettable and picturesque. Headquartered in Houghton, a town whose motto is “A nice place to live”, the race heads north into the tip of the Peninsula, following the curving line of Lake Superior along the way.

LOCATION |  Houghton, Michigan

The town of Houghton, Michigan is right in the middle of the Keweenaw Peninsula, which juts out into Lake Superior for approximately 60 miles. Houghton is the gateway to thousands of square miles of waterways and forests and it is also the largest town in the area, making it a cultural hot spot. It is also home to Michigan Technological University where many of the local fans stem from, so get ready for lots of local college students bringing their enthusiasm to the sport of rally racing!

CONDITIONS |

Weather conditions can vary greatly in late October. There can be anything from warm temperatures with bright blue skies to heavy rain or snow. Storm systems build quickly on water the size of Lake Superior, which means that the weather can change very rapidly. This means that drivers need to be ready for any type of weather at any time of the day.
