The 3rd and final round of the inaugural U.S. Rallycross Championship at the New Jersey Motorsports Park Rallycross is November 6-7! A race consists of five rally style cars jumping and sliding on a road course made up of pavement AND gravel. Five drivers line up to start at once, piloting high-horsepower compact cars through race traffic over a challenging short course that features jumps, unbanked turns, hills and transitions between pavement and gravel. Each car must also take a “Joker” lap at some point during their heat. A Joker Lap is a small detour – normally over a jump – that adds a level of unpredictability to the heat’s outcome by changing a driver’s strategy in an instant. Tickets to the event can be purchased at [The NJMP Store](http://store.njmp.com/store/category/9/157/). Competitor Information: Eligibility: A Rally America license is requried. The cost of a regional license is $100. Entry Fees: Early entry fee (before Oct 21, 5:00 PM CDT): 2WD is $100 and AWD is $200. Regular entry fee (after Oct 21, 5:00 PM CDT) 2WD is $200 and 4WD National is $400. All participants and team members, including drivers, must purchase a $25 “Pit Pass”. 50% Discount to anyone who has entered a Rally America event in 2010. A Main Prize Fund: Minimum 2WD is $1,000 and minimum AWD is $2,500. Car Classes: There will be 2WD national and 4WD national classes. Except where noted, normal Rally America technical rules apply. Note: Per New Jersey state law 13:62-3.6, Snell SA 2000 or newer full-face helmets with face shields must be used. Open face and typical British Standard (e.g., Peltor) rally helmets may not be used! Weekend Schedule of Events: Registration and Tech will be open Friday afternoon and evening as well as Saturday morning. Saturday will be practice and qualifying (everyone qualifies). Sunday will be heat races and main events. Click [here](http://rally-america.com/rules.php) or more information on the event’s supplemental regulations, rules, and bulletins.
