The Spirit of Rallying  - Saturday, June  5, 2010
One aspect of rallying that makes it such a special sport is the camaraderie shared amongst competitors. It's not uncommon to see competitors loan each other parts or a helping hand, despite being rivals.

Antoine L’Estage/Nathalie Richard encountered trouble with their Rockstar Energy Royal Group Mitsubishi Evo X on SS1 after a power steering hose came undone. They drove SS2 with no power steering at all. Before checking in to SS3, drivers Bill Bacon and Pat Moro jumped in to help Antoine saw off the frayed end of the steel hose, fit it back into the clamp, and then seal it up…a difficult process that took them about an hour to do. Keep in mind that Bacon and L’Estage are separated by a mere 8 points for the Championship lead, and the outcome of this rally could determine who wins it all.
