The Can-Jam Motorsports Rally Team with Crazy Leo Urlichich and Carl Williamson are back in action competing in this weekend’s Sno-Drift Rally - round 1 of the Rally America National Championship.

The Team has been working for weeks on restoring Leo’s famous “Beast” in preparation for a fulltime assault on both the Canadian Rally Championship and for his second season on the Rally America tour.

2012 was a season of firsts for Leo – Rally America was a brand new challenge and he would tackle it with a brand new co-driver in Carl Williamson so the familiarity of the team staying intact and the experience behind both of them should see the pair more competitive than ever.

Co-driver Williamson is excited at the prospect and said, “Here we are again and its either a case of Crazy Leo being kind enough to ask me back for another year or, and I think its this one, I am just crazy enough to say yes to another year with him.  I'm sure all will become clear soon as we head back to Michigan for the running once again of the first round of the year, the Sno-Drift Rally.

This was a baptism of fire last year and we've both learnt a lot since then so hoping it is all put to good use. Time will tell.”

The kick-off to the 2013 Rally America National Championship is here and over 40 teams are lining up to take on the snow and ice-covered roads of the Sno-Drift Rally on January 25-26th in Atlanta and Lewiston, MI. Event organizers report approximately a foot of snow has fallen in the local area in recent weeks.

In addition to the regular protagonists the team will face fans will have the pleasure of watching Rally and Gymkhana star Ken Block and his newly renamed Hoonigan Rally Team compete for the entire season.

The Can-Jam Motorports Rally Team had a 6th place finish in last years event and look to improve on that as Leo’s confidence on the snow and ice has greatly increased. “ I am so ready to go for this season. It has been a long time since our last event and I am excited to be working with Carl and the Can-Jam team again…bring on the snowbanks,” stated driver Crazy Leo.

The Sno-Drift Rally is a fan friendly event that begins with a driver meet & greet before the race begins on Friday afternoon at 1:00pm in downtown Lewiston, MI and again at 8:00am Saturday morning in Atlanta, MI.

Fans will be treated to a Super Special Stage on Saturday at the Lewiston Sand & Gravel allowing viewers to watch a complete rally stage from start to finish from a single vantage point. It’s a great way to spend the day watching exciting rally action from a single viewing location. More information, including special stage shuttle buses can be found at: www.sno-drift.org.
