VholdR wearable camcorder sponsors Byron Garth: 401Rally
Rally Racing team, Byron Garth and Sky Pinnick have partnered with VholdR, makers of the World’s first (and lightest) HD Helmet Camera, ContourHD. The 401Rally racing duo are both filmmakers at Rage Films by day and rally racers by night, making this sponsorship with VholdR a perfect fit. Lightweight and cordless, the ContourHD can be installed almost anywhere on the car, which will allow the team to shoot from some unique and creative angles. The 401Rally 2006 Subaru WRX will be outfitted with a myriad of the ContourHD camcorders during the 2010 pro racing season, documenting every turn and fast-paced slide of the course. The footage from these races will be available free to the public at www.vholdr.com.
VholdR, recognized the partnership with team 401Rally as a unique opportunity to enter into the Rally Racing sport by utilizing the filmmaking skills of Byron Garth and Sky Pinnick. “They offer a skill set that allows our ContourHD cameras to capture the rally racing world. This is exactly how the helmet cams are meant to be used,” says Jason Green, Executive Producer at VholdR.
Byron Garth and Sky Pinnick are currently ranked 9th overall in the Rally America National Championships and placed 3rd in the Super Production class at the Sno*Drift race in Atlanta, MI in late January. They are anticipating another action-packed, adrenaline-filled race at the upcoming Rally in the 100 Acre Woods, in Salem MO.
