After a two-month break, the 2018 Rally America National Championship resumes with a return to Potosi, Missouri for this weekend’s Show-Me Rally. Held on many of the same roads as the Rally in the 100 Acre Wood, the event features eight stages at just over 55 miles, and an impressive 30 entries.

Coming off their third win of the 2018 season at Sno*Drift Summer Rally two months ago, the Fetela Rally Team of Piotr Fetela and Dominik Jozwiak will look to make up their 10-point championship deficit to overall leaders Dave and Mike Brown. Fetela/Jozwiak and Brown/Brown will be in the first two cars on the road on Saturday, followed by defending race winner Charles Surdyke with co-driver Colin Vickman.

13 Open Light cars and 11 Group 2 cars will make up a majority of the field, though all six Rally America classes will be represented in the event. The entry list also features a return to action for a number of fast vehicles in all classes, from Michael Hooper’s Group 5 Lexus to Micah Nickelson’s Group 2 Volkswagen.

The event starts with a pass at the Lions Club super special, won by Nathan Usher and Marianna Langosch last year. This year’s revised route also includes two passes at Floyd Tower East, Baby Pigeon Roost Short, and Brazil to Colen to Moses, as well as a reverse run on the super special stage.

Saturday’s event starts with parc expose at the Potosi Lions Club at 10AM, and the action begins with the super special one hour later. Competitors will have two half-hour service stops during the day at Red Wing Shoes in Potosi, starting at 1:30PM and 4PM. The event winners will be crowned at 7PM at the Super 8 Motel after the completion of all eight stages.

The first cars on the road in each class are as follows:

  • Open: #94 Piotr Fetela/Dominik Jozwiak (1st overall)
  • Open Light: #194 Dave Brown/Mike Brown (2nd overall)
  • Group 5: #423 Michael Hooper/Brian Katz (4th overall)
  • Super Production: #3 Nathan Usher/Marianna Langosch (5th overall)
  • Group 2: #237 Micah Nickelson/Tyler Ptacek (6th overall)
  • B-spec: #141 Chris Sladek/John Sharps (15th overall)
