Tag Rally Sport’s Tracey Gardiner will return to the Rally America National Championship on July 20-21 as the series visits Rangely, CO for Rally Colorado for the second consecutive year. Gardiner, who finished third in last year’s B-spec championship, will return to the #24 Toyota Yaris with new co-driver Nia Schenk alongside her.

“I am looking forward to getting back into the Yaris for the first time this year at Rally Colorado,” said Gardiner. “I have been more on the organizing and media side for 2018 in the Rally America series, which has allowed me to get to learn more about the back end of how rally works and meeting and interacting with the towns, counties, competitors, crew members and volunteers.

“Being back in my favorite little car is going to be fun! Colorado has some of the most amazing roads I have rallied on. Being a part of bringing back rally in Colorado has also been one of the most fulfilling things. The town of Rangely and Rio Blanco County have been beyond hospitable and welcoming.

“I have a brand new rookie co-driver coming on board with me, Nia Schenk. I hear she has been getting some coaching from my son Rory's co-driver, Steven Harrell. I’m looking forward to seeing what Rally Colorado brings!”

"I’m very excited to be riding along with Tracey for my first time co-driving,” added Schenk. “She and the Tag team have offered so much support throughout my learning process, and I’m happy to be with a team that has been so welcoming, not just to me, but to a lot of newcomers."

Last year, Gardiner finished second in B-spec in her home event at Rally Colorado. In a high-attrition event that saw DNFs claim nearly half of the field, Gardiner and Rebecca Hall were able to press on throughout all 12 stages as one of only 21 crews to finish the event. A frequent class podium finisher, Gardiner claimed multiple runner-up finishes in the 2017 season.
